With over 30 years of exploring the rugged terrain of Southern Nevada and a remarkable career in the Las Vegas entertainment industry, Andrew has lived a full life of wild experiences, incredible views, and unforgettable moments. Now, through High Over Vegas, he’s sharing that journey with the world.
The Origins of High Over Vegas
Back in 2005, Andrew began writing stories about his adventures in the mountains surrounding Las Vegas-experiences shared with friends and fellow adventurers on cliffs, trails, and desert peaks. He titled the manuscript High Over Vegas-a name inspired by the views he often enjoyed from Red Rock Canyon and the high peaks of the Spring Mountains, or from the roof-tops of casinos on the Las Vegas strip.
The name perfectly captures the lifestyle he continues to live today-adventurous, elevated, and deeply connected to both nature and the city.
A Logo That Tells a Story
The High Over Vegas logo represents Andrew’s passions and the people he shares stories about: a skier, a climber, a paraglider, and a mountain biker-his core adventure sports. At the center stands a silhouetted figure pointing outward: a rigger, representing Andrew’s decades-long career behind the scenes of Las Vegas entertainment.
This balance between adventure and artistry is what makes High Over Vegas unique.
Built on a Local Philosophy
Andrew has always believed: You don’t need to travel far to find adventure and purpose. Southern Nevada offers enough excitement, work, and opportunity to last a lifetime-and he’s made the most of it.
From establishing first ascents in Red Rock Canyon and the La Madre Range, to building new mountain biking trails and pioneering epic paragliding routes, Andrew has left his marks across the region.
A Career behind the Scenes
For more than two decades, Andrew worked as a professional rigger in Las Vegas, helping bring world-class events, concerts, and productions to life. As a proud member of IATSE Local 720 since 1998, he’s grateful for the support and opportunities that union membership provided-both for his family and career.

In 2014, he took a leap, believing in the potential of others he co-launched a startup to fill a niche in the Las Vegas market-proving again that risk and reward go hand-in-hand.
A New Chapter Begins
In 2024, Andrew stepped away from his business to pursue a more personal mission: launching High Over Vegas. This project is a natural extension of his life’s philosophy-grounded in the values of Lead, Teach, and Inspire.
